He is also the Associate Dean of Infrastructure (Project) at IIT Roorkee. He has been engaged in teaching and research in earthquake-resistant design of steel structures, development of passive devices for seismic protection, vulnerability assessment, and retrofitting of structures. He completed his B. Tech. in Civil Engineering from Govt. Engineering College Thrissur Kerala in the year 2006. He completed his M. Tech. in Structural Engineering from IIT Madras in the year 2010. He finished his Ph. D. at IIT Delhi in the year 2017 and joined IIT Roorkee in his current position in 2018. Continuing his passion for steel structures from his PhD level, he has been working in this area focusing on developing prequalified steel connections, material characterization of Indian structural steel, corrosion of steel, and development of reliable and cost-effective passive energy dissipating systems for buildings. He is currently the Secretary of the Indian Society of Earthquake Technology (ISET) and a joint faculty at the Centre of Excellence in Disaster Mitigation and Management (CoEDMM) at IIT Roorkee.
